The International Marine Purchasing Association has signed a contract to hold its annual ‘IMPA London’ event at The Queen Elizabeth II Centre (QEIICC) for the next five years.
‘IMPA London 2012’ is a two day conference and exhibition for over 1500 international visitors and delegates and over 90 exhibitors. The event will be held in September and will utilise the entire third floor (the Benjamin Britten Lounge, Fleming and Whittle Rooms).
Steven Alexander, Chief Operating Officer IMPA said: “IMPA London is now 15 years old and had outgrown its original home. The QEIICC is a first class venue and provides us with a flexible space so we can grow our event and double the number of visitors and exhibitors. We have already sold 90 percent of the new exhibition floor plan and we can attribute this growth in part to new exhibitors seeing The QEIICC as very much integral to our plans – which has given them added confidence that the show will be a success. The Centre has a friendly, sociable feel and we know that our event won’t get ‘lost’. The staff have been fantastic and the central location is also ideal for our exhibition visitors to be able to visit for a few hours. We are looking forward and excited about the positive impact that The QEIICC will have on our event.”
David Greenwood, First Choice Marine Supplies, USA said “We are really excited about the move to The QEIICC, it’s a great move for the event, our company will be investing in a larger booth and investing in the success of the show.”
Sue Etherington, Commercial Director, The QEIICC said: “We are proud that the IMPA has placed their trust in us and invested the future of their event with The QEIICC. We are looking forward to working with them to help grow their event over the next five years and beyond.”
