Team QEII will be at the Meetings Show next week presenting a fresh new perspective of the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre. Visit us at stand F27 and enjoy our relaxed garden party where there will be plenty of summer games and treats in store.
We are also running two of our successful Masterclasses at the Show:
Steve Elliot, Director of Blackberry Productions will be presenting a session titled “Event management – a risky business?”
Event management is as much about managing risk as managing the event. The Health and Safety at Work Act is a piece of UK statute law. If you breach it, you are committing a criminal offence.
Being a live event there is no second chance so it is always advisable to have a plan to deal with unforeseen occurrences. Expecting the unexpected can frequently be the best preparation as many event professional will testify. The skill of the organiser is to negotiate the optimum solution in each risk scenario that is the best and the safest for the client and the audience. In this session we will look at creating an event safety plan, risk assessment, delegate profiling, and contingency planning.
Steve’s session will be at 12.50pm on Tuesday 8th July in Conference Room 1
Kursha Woodgate, Managing Director of Mexia Communications will be presenting a session titled “The science of content marketing – tools and tips to promote your event”
Content marketing has fast become part of the vernacular for professional marketers. As the buyer’s journey has changed and a focus on more inbound marketing prevails, savvy marketing professionals have quickly learned that the smart way to attract your audiences is through rich content, delivered via a mix of digital media channels. This session will explore some of the technologies available to event organisers to assist with content marketing and provide some tips on structuring a content marketing programme to promote your event.
Kursha’s session will be at 12.50pm on Wednesday 9th July in Conference Room 3
The Meetings Show will be held at Olympia, London from the 8th – 10th July 2014.
