Ernest Vincent, Chief Executive of The Queen Elizabeth II Centre has been awarded an OBE (Order of the British Empire) for services to the exhibition industry.
The award was announced on Saturday as part of the Queen’s birthday honours list.
Ernest Vincent stated: “To be appointed OBE is an immense and unexpected honour. For more than 35 years I’ve been able to contribute to the exhilarating business of international meetings, exhibitions and events. I have been associated with some of the world’s best and busiest venues and with a great many highly talented people.
“A significant part of my working life has been spent abroad helping to develop the exhibition and conference industry overseas. This has been both a memorable experience and a real privilege.
I especially value this present period of my career and leading the extremely dedicated team of conference and event professionals at London’s Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre.”
