The QEIICC Chief Executive to stand down

Ernest Vincent OBE, has announced his intention to stand down from the position of Chief Executive of The Queen Elizabeth II Centre (QEIICC) on March 31st, 2013.

The Centre, owned by the Department for Communities and Local Government and operated by one of its arm’s length bodies, is an executive agency and government trading fund which has been successfully managing the Centre since 1997.

Ernest Vincent joined The QEIICC in 2003, and will leave after a thirty five year career in the meetings, exhibition and events industry.

Commenting on his decision Ernest Vincent said: “I’ve very much enjoyed these past ten years leading the hugely talented team at The Queen Elizabeth II Centre, a venue that continues to be widely sought after by meeting planners, many returning year after year”.

Applicants for the Chief Executive role are being sought.
