The Times: The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre Contributes £200M To Economy

In a feature in The Times today (Thursday 10th March) Ernest Vincent, Chief Executive estimates that the economic impact of The Queen Elizabeth II Centre (QEIICC) is something in the region £150 – 200million per annum.

“I am a firm supporter of the value business tourism contributes to the UK economy and I believe this sector of the tourism industry needs much more recognition and encouragement. It can readily be one of the engines to rebalance our national economy – the business tourist contributes to an industry that is worth over £16 billion. Here at The QEIICC we work actively with both Visit Britain and Visit London to identify and target the large International Association Events which can be brought to the UK – thus bringing delegates from all over the world to the UK.”
