Leading central London events venue the QEII Centre has announced the winner of its annual employee award, the QEII Award for Excellence.
Victoria Barboza, maintenance technician at QEII, has been chosen as the winner of the award, for the enthusiasm and positivity she brings to her job.
Launched in 2016, with the inaugural winner announced in 2017, the QEII Award for Excellence is designed to celebrate the members of the QEII team who best exemplify the centre’s core values, which include making a difference, putting the customer first, being a team player, being proud to be a member of team QEII and being the best you can be.
The nomination process for the awards encouraged any member of the team to put forward the person they felt was most deserving of receiving the award, with the eventual winner chosen by the senior management team.
Raj Pragji, HR director at the QEII Centre, said: “It was unanimously agreed that Victoria really stood out and was truly deserving of being this year’s winner. She is without a doubt an enthusiastic and hard-working member of the team, and this is something that has been highlighted by several of her colleagues and managers. Victoria demonstrates all of QEII’s values in her work and should be celebrated for her contribution.”
