The Queen Elizabeth II Centre (QEII Centre) has appointed Roopi Woodall as marketing manager. Roopi joins QEII Centre from leading event organiser, i2i events, where she was brand manager for large scale events within the healthcare division
Prior to joining i2i events, Roopi spent two years at Green Media as marketing manager for AIDF (a tradeshow and conference for the humanitarian aid, relief and development sectors held in Washington DC and Bangkok) and Climate Action (a multimedia platform consisting of a website, newsletter, events and annual publication produced in partnership with the United Nations Environment Programme).
Sue Etherington, commercial director, QEII Centre said: “Roopi joins us at an incredibly exciting time – 2014 will see the Centre undertake some extensive changes – both to the building, and the way the Centre is portrayed. We were impressed with Roopi’s international experience within the events sector coupled with her diverse marketing background and knowledge. We all look forward to working with her.”
Roopi has also worked on the Powerboat P1 World Championship and the Superstock Championship motorsport racing series where she planned and implemented the marketing campaigns, liaised with the sales team on sponsorship proposals, and undertook a major rebranding project.
