It’s been a busy week for team QEII and for once I’m not talking about events, although we’ve been busy with those too. Some of our wonderful Sales team, our events team and IT, who you might just know, have all be out travelling and developing their skills in areas that benefit both the business and their professional growth.
At the start of the week Anna, Charlotte, James and Julia all set off to Vienna for the yearly Ungerboeck conference. All of them and more have played a major part in the integration and development of Ungerboeck at the centre. This has allowed us to streamline our workflows, better manage room occupancy and utilise our venue to its full potential. Once back in London Anna said, “Not only was it incredible to travel to Vienna for the event but the information and development of Ungerboeck really showed me how it can help us transform the way we work.”
Charlotte Best was invited to speak about business process improvements in event management and how Ungerboeck contributed to that.

Diane the Director of Sales and Marketing ventured to Oporto in Portugal for the ICCA Iberian Chapter Annual Meeting. Last year Diane was appointed chair of the ICCA UK & Ireland Chapter, now contributing globally to the association.
Earlier last week, Anish, Thomas and Jenni all went to The ICCA UK & Ireland Chapter in Harrogate for two days of legacy building, workshops and networking. Jenni said “It felt warm, welcoming and provided an incredibly supportive environment. I left feeling really inspired.”

As a leader in venue innovation and continually showcasing ourselves as a tech ready venue, we want to equip our sales team with the most advanced sales tools available; All Seated. Spearheading this project Josh and Mark took the lead on integrating this progressive technology. This week saw the beginning of 3D scans across our major spaces. Which will soon allow our sales team to produce custom built VR showrounds with incredible efficiency and speed. Stay tuned for updates, we’re excited about this one!
