Dare to Be Bold: Creating Energy Through Event Design

Great events don’t just happen in a space, they happen because of the way that space is designed.

The right environment can influence how delegates move, connect and engage, turning a room from somewhere people simply sit into somewhere they actively participate.

At the QEII Centre, we believe in daring to be bold with event design. Our flexible spaces and range of room layouts allow organisers to create an environment that supports the energy and objectives of their event.

Design for connection

Networking is an essential part of many events, but it needs space to happen naturally.

Moving beyond a traditional theatre-style set-up can encourage delegates to interact in different ways. Informal seating, dedicated networking areas and carefully considered spaces between sessions can all create opportunities for conversation and connection.

With a variety of spaces and configurations available, the QEII Centre can help organisers design an event that encourages delegates to move, meet and engage.

Design for engagement

Audience engagement starts with the environment.

A room layout can influence sightlines, interaction and the relationship between the audience and the stage. From theatre and cabaret to more creative configurations, choosing the right set-up can help keep delegates comfortable, involved and focused.

And it doesn’t have to stop at the main session. Breakout spaces, networking areas and exhibition zones can all be used to maintain momentum throughout the event.

Create an experience, not just a layout

Being bold doesn’t necessarily mean being extravagant. It means thinking about what you want delegates to feel, do and take away from the event — and designing the space around that.

At the QEII Centre, our flexible spaces give organisers the freedom to do exactly that.

Because when you design for energy, you create an environment where people are more likely to connect, participate and remember the experience.

Dare to be bold. Design for energy.
