Reasons to Choose the QEII Centre

Getting the venue choice right is an integral part of setting up an event for success. At the QEII Centre, we understand this and work in partnership with our clients from the proposal to event day, which is reflected in the excellent feedback we have received from our clients since large-scale events returned at the end of 2021.

From our experienced teams and their client-centric approach to our first-rate location, here are 10 great reasons why you should come to the Centre and see why it is the perfect space for your next event:

Flexible Spaces for all event types

With 32 spaces located across seven floors, our room capacities range from 12 to 1,300. Whether you are looking to hold a small meeting, AGM awards ceremony, dinners, graduations or a conference and exhibition we have a space to suit.

Come to the epiCentre

Located right in the heart of Central London, the Centre has great transport links, amazing views and is in very close proximity to some of London’s most iconic landmarks. Located in close proximity to the West End, first-rate shopping, dining and entertainment as well as 6,000 hotel bedrooms are all within walking distance.

Access from all areas

Wherever you are coming from in London, you are spoilt for choice on how to get to the Centre, as it  is well served by tube, train and bus. There are three major transport hubs including Victoria, Waterloo and Charing Cross within a 20-minute walk, whilst St James Park and Westminster tube stations are only five minutes away on foot. There are also five international airports within an hour’s transfer if you are coming from overseas.

Views to savour

The Centre has stunning views of some of London’s most famous landmarks, with Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben all in touching distance. Whilst on the upper floors, the panoramic views encompass the London Eye and the Shard.

You are in safe hands

Our experienced, knowledgeable and friendly teams are on hand to support our clients. With almost 20% of our staff having worked at the Centre for over 20 years, we understand our clients’ requirements and have a flexible and adaptable approach to ensure the success of their events.

In-House AV and Catering Teams to support you at all times

When you come to the Centre for an event, all our teams are in-house, which allows for a more cohesive approach. From the signing of the contract through to the event day, the team works closely throughout to ensure the event exceeds expectations.

Safe and Covid-Secure

Client and delegate safety is still at the heart of everything we do, and we continue to several measures including temperature checks for everyone entering the Centre, provision of hand sanitiser and Cloroxing and regular cleaning of public and office spaces. We have also installed 182 AIRsteril air purification units that are scientifically proven to enhance air quality and simultaneously remove bacteria.

A sustainable buzz

We can help you reduce the impact of your event on the environment as we are constantly looking at our sustainable practices. From seasonal menus centred on locally sourced, fresh ingredients to removing all single-use plastic and zero waste to landfills, we continue to make changes. We have recently introduced a colony of bees to our fourth-floor garden area, where we are also growing our own herbs to be included in delegate meals.

Tip Top Tech

We continue to invest in the latest technology and have enhanced our hybrid and studio offerings that allow you to connect to delegates that can’t make it in person. We also offer digital content creation, video editing and 3D room visuals and can assist you with all your AV requirements. Whilst our 4GB building-wide internet supply will enable you and your delegates can stay connected throughout the event.

Sanctuary to network and catch up on your emails

If your delegates need a space to network with your colleagues, take a business call or catch up on emails then look no further than the Sanctuary. Located on the ground floor, your delegates can grab a hot drink and a snack, whilst keeping up with what’s going on at the office or catching up with industry peers.
