London’s leading conference and events venue, The QEII Centre, is to host the Festival of Marketing later this month.
Taking place 23-25 March, it is the first time that the festival, which aims to empower senior marketeers to build better brands from across all sectors and has run since 2013, will be held at the centre.
Over three days, thousands of virtual and in-person delegates will enjoy a truly hybrid programme featuring over 80 expert speakers, including TV star and doctor turned mental health activist Dr Alex George; global bestselling author, thought leader and economist Noreena Hertz; as well as award-winning business columnist and professor of marketing Dr Helen Edwards.
The 50 dynamic, thought-provoking and informative sessions, which will take place in the QEII’s third floor Fleming and Whittle and fourth floor St James’ rooms, will be packed with actionable advice to help marketeers tackle the biggest issues and ultimately transform their career and their brand. The event will include a hybrid option for the first time, so delegates unable to attend all three days, or who want to catch up on content, are able to access the wealth of content during and after the event. Having been integral to the planning process, the centre’s award-winning AV team QEII Live will also be supporting the delivery of the event’s virtual offering.
Claire Rance, managing director, Festival of Marketing, said she chose QEII because of its location, flexibility and in-house expertise.
“The QEII’s accessibility and location is ideal with its close proximity to London’s iconic landmarks and stunning views,” she said. “As we attract a lot of marketeers who are based in central London, we wanted to provide a venue that had great transport links and was within easy reach. It also had everything we needed in terms of flexibility, and we were impressed from the initial showround with the knowledge and expertise of the centre’s team – particularly QEII Live who have become integral to our planning as we run up to the event.”
