The Meetings Show 2025: Deepening Engagement in the Distracted Economy

The Meetings Show has always been a highlight in the events industry calendar, but this year felt particularly energising.

This year we introduced our new campaign theme, Dare to be Bold, which is a call to embrace confidence, creativity and courage in how we deliver events. We also revealed our brand new and eye-catching exhibition stand featuring an incredible 3D peacock, which turned plenty of heads on the show floor and received many comments from delegates and buyers.

Dare to be Bold is also a direct reflection of how we’re evolving as a venue, working with clients to push boundaries and stand out in an increasingly crowded landscape.

We brought that boldness to life in our presence at the show: QEII Live set the tone with incredible DJ sets that brought energy to the show floor and demonstrated our in-house production capabilities. QEII Taste chef Sophia Sotiriou, created a stunning display of delicious cakes using unexpected ingredients such as sweet potato, quinoa and carrot – a brilliant example of how catering can become a storytelling element within an event.

I was also proud to present findings from our latest report, The Distracted Economy: Reclaiming focus in meetings and events, alongside Simon Hughes, Director, The Power of Events. It was great to see the audience engaged in the session and take note of how distraction impacts different age groups and roles within a business.

Our dynamic sales team engaged with a large number of top agents and hosted buyers, showcasing the exceptional capabilities of our venue and sparking exciting new opportunities.

At the QEII Centre, we’re ready. Whether through creative campaigns, immersive experiences or thought-provoking insights, we’re committed to helping our clients make bolder, more meaningful choices.
