29 October 2024: Central London conference and events venue, The QEII Centre, has announced a spike in life sciences event bookings for the next six months, with 13 national and international conferences taking place by the end of March 2025.

Notable events in this sector include the British Society for Heart Failure’s Annual Autumn Meeting, the British Thoracic Society’s Winter Meeting, the UK Biobank’s Winter Scientific Conference, and the Association of Anaesthetists’ Winter Scientific Meeting.

The uptick in life science events at the Westminster-based venue illustrates London’s destination strengths in this sector, aided by its extensive network of world-class universities and research centres, healthcare providers, medical charities, innovative small medium enterprises and significant industry players.
